THE CALLCANA MINISTRIESThe Call

COLOSSIANS 1:9–10

The will is not
the route.

Knowing God’s will without knowing His entire route.

CENTRAL TRUTH

Knowing God’s will begins with knowing God.

God may reveal the destination without giving you the complete map. The more deeply you know Him, the more readily you recognize His leading—even when you cannot see the entire route.

01

God’s will is discerned through knowing God

Paul did not present the knowledge of God’s will as information about the future. It is relational. As we grow in Scripture, prayer, obedience, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit, we become increasingly familiar with God’s character and ways.

02

The destination may come before the route

Abraham was called to go to a land God would show him. God gave direction, but not every detail. Receiving a calling does not mean receiving a complete schedule for your life.

03

Revelation often comes while walking

Abraham discovered the land while obeying. The disciples understood more of Jesus’ mission while following Him. Some instructions do not become clear while we remain stationary.

04

Hidden details develop dependence

If we knew every turn, delay, and difficulty beforehand, we could navigate by information rather than intimacy. God forms people who recognize His voice—not merely people who can follow written directions.

05

Christ is greater than the map

Jesus said, “I am the way.” Christian guidance is not primarily about discovering a method; it is about following a Person. Plans and timelines may change, but Christ remains faithful.

THE FAITHFUL RESPONSE

KNOW HIM→TRUST HIM→OBEY HIM→FOLLOW HIM

TAKE THE NEXT STEP

You do not need the entire map to obey.

Return to the Word. Return to prayer. Ask what God has already made clear, obey that instruction, and trust Him with what remains hidden.
